This was a really great day. Had a good conversation with God (at least from my perspective) .:) I worked out early. Straightened the house. Spent some time with a friend. Fixed a beautiful frittata.
Then had a conversation with my mother that didn’t go well. Boom! There went my good mood. She is ninety. She has a good head on her shoulders and is pretty sharp. But today she was confused about something and because she has a severe hearing loss (yes, she has a hearing aid and no she doesn’t wear it at home) a phone conversation with her is almost impossible. She’s a very defensive person and I often feel like I’m walking on egg shells. Not a good feeling. Today she felt insulted because of something I said and was pretty rude.
Then there was something else that’s just too involved to write about in a post. Anyway, my good day dissolved quickly. So what do you do when that happens?
I’ve been working out hard and eating healthy but tonight it’s a choice between a healthy body and a healthy mind. I’ve decided a healthy mind is more important and for me that means ice-cream. Bring on those soothing carbs!
