Alphabet of thankfulness, “O”

I like options and I’m thankful that for the most part, I usually do have them. In fact, I’m a firm believer that we are always making choices about just about everything.

In fact, I’ve written often about options and how we have far more of them than we think.

We have options as to how we spend our time, our money. We have options about what and where we eat. We have options about our emotions, which ones we choose or choose not to indulge in.

We have options as to friendships.

But when it comes to people our options can become very complicated. Things are just things. People are people; they can hurt and they can be hurt. In the case of relationships,  it’s not just the process of gathering information and making calculated choices. Relationships can be damaged forever if we choose the wrong actions.

Sometimes there are more options than we think were we to let some time lapse before making decisions. Most things in life can sit on the back burner for awhile. Often they will resolve themselves. That’s the wonderful thing about options. You even have choices about your choices.

Sometimes waiting and letting the situation simmer is the best option.

God bless and I hope you have a good day.
