I came across an article you might be interested in if you deal with depression. But before you read it, let me make some points.
The way we think, the way we talk to ourselves, the way we behave, our health habits, the whole nine yards.
And it’s this last, our health habits, that I think bears reading about and why I suggest this article.
And it’s kind of interesting because I am feeling particularly good these past few days which is saying something because I’ve been dealing with some severe pain. I’m also trying to lose some weight. I put on a few pounds because of the long recovery process due to foot surgery and being unable to exercise.
That means I’ve really been curtailing my intake of processed carbs and sweets. So when I ran across this article I thought, “Bingo!” Could some of my reduced pain be because I’ve significantly reduced my processed carbs?
Researchers are not suggesting this as a major and only cause of depression but think about it a minute. There is a great deal of research linking inflammation with many illnesses, so why not depression?
Don’t jump on this, though, and think if you give up processed carbs and sweets, your depression is just going to go away. The causes of depression are very complex but at the same time they have major similarities. In other words, we are not as unique as we think.
So if you’re having a hard time right now, why not try to limit your carbs and sweets and see if it helps. When it comes to depression, anything is worth a shot.

God bless and I hope you have a good day.
