*More about my paper collecting and why “doodling” is therapeutic.*

I mentioned a while ago how I buy paper at garage sales, thrift shops, etc. I go through a LOT of paper.

I like to sketch and doodle. Needless to say, I go through a lot of paper that way. I find doodling very therapeutic and usually just throw most of it away. Couldn’t do that if I bought retail.

By the way, doodling is therapeutic in general. And as you can see from what I post here, it can be whatever you want it be. No judgment, no deadlines.

So today I thought I’d share some of my “doodling” so you know I wasn’t kidding.

This kind of abstract doodling above is really relaxing. It’s more like a zentangle. Plus, I find I often doodle circular type shapes which I’m sure is quite “zen”.

I’ll probably use this rose banner in my journal.

Some more swags and banners for my BUJO. (Bullet journal)

I find that when I’m doodling, I relax. Everything slows down. It’s a great activity to do in the evening to wind down. As you can tell, there is certainly no perfection here. No even trying for perfection.

I often “doodle” in ink right off the bat so I can’t erase.

What a great way, too, to remind us that some things in our lives can’t be erased. They just have to be dealt with.

God bless and have a “doodle” of a day.
