My spring vignette. It’s cute.

I’m really late with this post today. We are trying to get our deck restained. We’re having to take advantage of every dry day we have which has been few and far between. Thank goodness, though, we are not worrying about flooding. My heart goes out to all these poor people.

Years ago, when chalk painting was a very new “thing”, I painted a piece of furniture. It was a horrible job. I’ve looked at this horrible piece for years now and finally, one day, I said, “This is enough!”.

I have a before picture somewhere but can’t find it. It was white.

Anyway, I re-painted it. This time I stirred the paint properly. I love how it turned out.

The paint color is a combination of SW’s Black Fox and Urbane Bronze.

I plan on sealing it with a matte poly finish.

I whitewashed the basket. The letters are painted blue are just propped up at this point.

I have two of these wonderful flat baskets. The other is at our cabin above our bed and it’s probably a good 5″ bigger than this one. I love flat baskets. You can use them in so many ways. If we ever move, they are so-o-o going with me.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my spring vignette. Isn’t “diying” fun?

By the way, do you see that blue purse hanging on the side of the cabinet? It’s truly vintage. I’ll post about that tomorrow.
