This landing at the top of the stairs has changed about a dozen times over the years. Hey, that’s the fun of thrift shopping. You can change it up. I’ve had these crocks for many years. They’ve always been in this general area. Sometimes I’ve separated them and put one each on a step. But I decided to group them together for more of a “statement”.
This is a good picture of the table. It’s an old piano bench that I added pallet boards to. I spray painted the base in Aqua (Rustoluem 2X). A few weeks ago I whitewashed over the top of the blue to soften it a little.
These are antique game boards. I will never forget the day I bought them. I went to my mom’s right after as we had just put her in Hospice care. The nurse came out and told us she had three months to live. As it was, she lived five more months but boy was that a shocker.
New International Version
And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins.” Mark 2:22.
I look at these “vessels” and I’m reminded my life is a vessel, too. What am I pouring into it? And what is being poured out? While these aren’t wineskins, the idea is the same.
God bless and I hope you have a good day.
