Yesterday I posted about a couple of situations that I was upset about. I always try to keep my followers updated on the outcomes.
I told you I had already figured out what to do about the first one but that I didn’t know what to do about the other one.
I didn’t want to let it go because if I did I might well draw a line in the sand that I would always regret.
God is so good. When we asks for wisdom, He gives it. It’s that simple. Of course, we may have to do some digging and we may have to wait, but wisdom will eventually shower us and we will know what to do.
Yesterday God gave me an opening and I confronted the situation. The conversation went very well and my heart is at rest today. It came as no surprise to the other party that my feelings were hurt and we were able to discuss it openly and honestly.
It doesn’t always work out that way, of course, and I was prepared for that. But I also knew that not to discuss it would cause more problems down the road.
Remember, when God gives wisdom, It doesn’t always mean that applying that wisdom is going to produce the results we might want. My conversation could have gone very differently as the other person in the mix had their own choices to make. But in no way does that negate the “wisdom that comes from heaven.”
The wisdom that comes from God always brings peace and a clear thinking as promised in James 3:17.
But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.
I’m so glad that this one of those occasions when both of us were seeking God’s best. I’m praising God for (1) His wisdom and (2) my obedience.
All is resolved today and our relationship is even stronger.
