Did you ever have one of those days? You know the kind.
You feel tired and didn’t sleep well. And you have no idea why.
I woke up this morning feeling like I should go right back to bed. But I didn’t. I have too much to get done today. Isn’t it always that way, though?
It could be the residual effect of the Covid vaccination but that was a few days ago. But I’m sticking with that story because then I can put the symptoms somewhere that makes it easier to keep moving.
A diy project as a way to remember
I finished the sixth chapter of Joshua (the fourth being my favorite, however) so I thought I would share one little DIY project. It reminds me of chapter four.
My daughter made me an adorable wall hanging but I felt it was lost on the gray painted section of wall. I thought about painting the section black, but then if I didn’t like it, I’d have to paint over it and that wouldn’t be fun. So I decided to do this instead. I think it’s self-evident so I am just including the pictures and no tutorial.
However, I will add that the paint I used was just cheap acrylic paint. The poster color underneath is dark gray. I haphazardly (but on purpose) swiped on some black paint. After it dried, I sanded some of it off. That’s my signature.
Every day can’t be stellar
Like the Israelites,
- I need to jog my memory today.
- To be reminded of God’s faithfulness.
- I need to be reminded that God will help me accomplish what is important today.
Besides, every day can be stellar, can it? I’m so used to it, however, that it’s easy to let a less energetic day throw me for a loop.
Regardless, we just have to buck up and tell ourselves, “This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.” We have to remember past days of feeling terrific. Besides, the more you keep going, the more you generally feel like doing.
So if you’re having a “blah” day, remember, they’re not all like that. And just make the best of it.
