It really is OK to say no and not feel bad about it. That’s easy to write but hard to do sometimes, isn’t it?
Reading today from Matthew 25:7-13. I realize the main message is about Christ’s return and being ready for that wonderful event.
I understood the verses also to mean that there comes a point when, as much as we’ve tried to help someone, we just say “No”. When people continue to be foolish, we have no choice but to let them suffer the consequences of those poor choices.
It hurts to watch.
That applies to me as well. There’s come a point for me to say to myself, “Enough with the excuses.” It’s hard to tell ourselves no as well. Sometimes harder.
Go and do the thing instead of expecting God to do it all for you.Tweet
It’s hard to watch people go down roads that are going to end in disaster. It pains us as it should. We want to jump in and rescue and shout “No!”. Our white horse is saddled up and ready. But remember sometimes our rescue may get in the way of what God is trying to do in someone’s life.
Just wanted to share that little tidbit with you today.
God bless and I hope you have a good day.
