week-in review/ August

the week-in-review and God is good

As you know from Monday’s post my mom fell last weekend and broke her wrist. So this has been a week of doctor’s visits, visiting nurses visits and just more involvement with her all around. She’s doing great but, of course, I worry. She is using a cane and doesn’t use it well. I know it’s only a matter of time before she falls again.

So I am trying to prepare myself for what could be a very hard decision to make, her move to an assisted living home. I’m trusting that will never happen but I also am living with the reality that it just might. That will break my heart.

It’s so hard to watch her go through this.

But God is good. I have good friends to support me in this and a husband who is behind me all the way. However, I always remind myself that he comes first. So I try hard to manage my day as efficiently as I can, making use of every minute.

Life can sure get complicated, can’t it? But it’s that way for everyone at some point in their life. How anyone but a Christian can handle it, I don’t know. God is my constant companion through all this.

So the week began with the post about her fall and my clarity with what my mission is for now.

Tuesday I shared how God expects us to eagerly anticipate how he will answer our prayers. I can say I put that into practice this week and have been blessed beyond measure as I’ve seen

God give me exactly what I need, exactly when I need it.

Wednesday I shared how I find the fact that God is everywhere is comforting, not frightening, to me.

Thursday I shared how we all need to develop a worldview/worldview that reflects our belief in God. Everyone goes through life with a set of beliefs about life whether they know it or not. Examining the way we function in life at the present will enable us to create a worldview that helps us handle our lives more successfully.

Friday was a busy day so I didn’t post.

I am debating whether or not I will continue this fall to write a re-cap of the week’s posts. I’ll let you know.

I hope you have a good weekend and God bless each of you.
